The lifesaving sport and development stream will focus on innovation and advances in ILS lifesaving sport and sport development. This stream will include:

• Advancing the science of lifesaving sport
• Role of sport in humanitarian development activity
• Sport development in developing lifesaving organisations, and the integration of sport development activities
• Opportunities presented by simulated emergency response sporting activities to lifesaving, disaster rescue response principles and triage
• Development value of sport, youth leadership and participation
