Emergency Response and Medical

The Emergency Response and Medical Issues stream will cover a diverse range of issues of interest to medical professionals and medical researchers. It will be monitored by the International Life Saving Federation’s Medical Committee and be of interest to all those working or volunteering in this field.

This stream will highlight:

  • Medical research
  • Advances in the medical aspects of rescue, first aid and resuscitation
  • Care of the drowning victim
  • Emergency response; research and practice
  • Impact of alcohol and drug abuse on drowning

This stream may be of particular interest to medical professionals working across Asia, in urban and rural environments where drowning places a significant burden on the health system.

We are also keen to facilitate emergency response and medical related workshops, and encourage special interest groups who may see value in convening during the conference to contact us.
