WCDP2011 Conference Venue

Introduction

The organisers of the World Conference on Drowning Prevention 2011 (WCDP2011) are seeking Abstracts for oral, poster and workshop presentations from a range of sources across the conference themes.

If you, your organisation, institution or agency have been involved in interesting research, policy and/or practice aimed at preventing drowning, we encourage you to submit an abstract and start planning your attendance at this important event.

 

By participating in the WCDP2011 program you will be engaging with the world’s leading experts in the areas of drowning research, prevention, rescue, lifesaving, disasters, regional and sport development.

Objective and Themes

This is a conference that seeks to link research, policy and practice. The organisers seek to build an inclusive program that engages a diverse range of participants, and encourages collaboration in order to reduce drowning.

 A dynamic and comprehensive set of key themes have been identified and include:

Key Dates

15 March 2010 Abstract Submissions Open  Abstract submissions will be accepted online from 15 March 2010 
21 August  2010 Abstract Submissions Close All abstracts must be submitted online by 21 August 2010 (Extended from 31 July 2010).
20 October 2010 Abstract Notification  Submitting authors notified of their abstract results by 20 October 2010 (Revised from 13 October due to the Abstract extension date). Accepted abstracts will receive this notification together with oresentation guidelines and briefing notes.
November 2010-
April 2011
New and Emerging Issues The Conference Organisers reserve the right to target and call additional presentations for the Conference program pending new and emerging issues.
